Michael Bryan Stein is an LA-based award-winning composer and multi-instrumentalist who has collaborated on over sixty-five projects in recent years. In 2023, Michael composed the score for New Wave: Baseball's Next Generation, an UNINTERRUPTED documentary production from Executive Producers LeBron James, Maverick Carter, CC Sabathia, and Amber Sabathia in association with Major League Baseball. He also recently composed additional music for the Amazon Audible series, American Football, hosted by Kate Mara and presented by Michael Strahan. Stein's score for the original series pilot, Workforce, had its world premiere in Hollywood at the TLC Chinese 6 Theatres, on September 14, 2022. Since then, he has won Best Score Awards for Workforce at both the 2022 World Cinema Awards and the 2022 Snow Leopard International Film Festival in Madrid, Spain.

Known for integrating his extensive classical and jazz training with his skill producing electronic music, Michael is an extremely versatile composer with an acute sense of dramatic storytelling. He is sought after as an arranger, producer, and additional writer for other film composers and artists, including Kovas (composer for the Netflix series, On My Block). 

Michael has been musical director for artists ranging from Sally Struthers to Bernard “Pretty” Purdie, and has performed alongside Denny Laine, Liberty DeVitto, Marshall Crenshaw, Glen Burtnik, Patty Smyth, and Jonathan Cain, among others. Additionally, Michael has done music prep work for Blood, Sweat & Tears.

In the spring of 2022, Michael was a lecturer at UCLA's Herb Alpert School of Music, where he earned a PhD in composition for visual media in 2021. He is also currently a music technology instructor at the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz.
